The Safariland® 578 GLS™ Pro-Fit™ Holster is a versatile, multi-fit holster designed to accommodate a wide range of handguns while providing secure retention and a fast, intuitive draw. Combining Safariland's innovative GLS™ (Grip Lock System) with durable SafariSeven™ construction, this holster offers a reliable solution for everyday carry, range use, training, and duty applications.
The adjustable Pro-Fit™ design allows the holster to securely fit over 225 different firearm models, making it an excellent option for shooters who own multiple handguns or are looking for a flexible holster platform. The GLS™ retention system automatically locks the firearm in place when holstered and releases naturally when the shooter establishes a proper firing grip. By pressing the release lever with the middle finger during the draw stroke, the firearm is released quickly and safely without the need for complicated retention devices.
Constructed from SafariSeven™, a proprietary high-performance nylon blend, the 578 is lightweight, durable, and non-abrasive to firearm finishes. Unlike traditional polymer holsters, SafariSeven™ is designed to withstand extreme heat and cold while maintaining its strength and performance. The material is also easy to clean and highly resistant to wear from daily use.
For added versatility, the holster includes both an injection-molded paddle attachment and an adjustable belt loop, allowing users to choose the carry method that best suits their needs. The belt loop can be adjusted for comfort and positioning, making it suitable for a variety of belt sizes and carry preferences.

Important Notes
- This is the Standard Fit version of the Safariland 578 GLS.
- The holster is adjustable and may fit additional firearms not listed on the package.
- Not all optic-equipped firearms will work. Red dots mounted too far forward can prevent the firearm from locking into the GLS retention system.
- Common firearms known to have compatibility issues include the Staccato P, Staccato C2, and Springfield Prodigy.
